In the late 1950s, the banks of Enoggera Creek near the Newmarket Bowls Club were a playground for Trevor Ozanne and his brothers. The creek provided the fuel for bonfires, the raw materials for little boats and nourishment for his imagination. Chinese market gardens and dairy farming were a fact of life along this stretch of creek. Forty years later, Trevor returned as a teacher and horticulturalist, with enough knowledge to know what needed to be done to give the creek a chance. Trevor is one of the founders of SOWN and is now a Life Member. His lifelong love affair with the creek continues.
