A small bird, grey-olive above, yellow below, white or orange sides to the forehead. Yellowish legs, short and rather broad bill. Less common relative of the yellowbutt and found in moist eucalypt forests, subtropical and tropical rainforests with dense vegetation, such as vine thickets. Threatened by habitat clearing, fragmentation, sensitive to disturbance caused by logging.
