New Butterfly Identification App
Butterflies Australia is a citizen science project which has recently launched a new mobile phone, butterfly app.
The app includes photos and information on all butterflies in Australia. You can use the app to identify butterflies that you see and send photos and data into the project.
For more information on the project and the app, including how to download it, go to their website at the attached link.
Two books for Christmas
Our new Life Members Anne Jones and Rob Whyte are meant to have retired recently. However, in their irrepressible way, they have merely changed hats from Toadshow to their new publishing company h-a-r-p-o.
They have recently published two new books in time for Christmas reading: ‘Where Angel Fears to Tread’ is a fast-paced novel in the Brisbane noir style; and ‘Eccentric Voices: A scrapbook of Brisbane cultural history 1965-1995’.
You can find out more at the h-a-r-p-o website and buy copies from Avid bookshop or Anne and Rob.
