Planting 2500 trees for 25 years – Sunday 13 October, Wittonga Park
SOWN is having a large community planting at Wittonga Park, The Gap, on 13 October as part of our 25th anniversary activities.
We want to invite all our members, friends and community partners to come along and help us plant 2500 native trees and shrubs along Fish Creek to mark 25 years of SOWN’s work.
Date and time: Sunday 13 October, 8.30 am to 12 noon.
Place: Wittonga Park, The Gap. Access to site is from Belclare Street.
This planting is being actively supported by the Brisbane City Council and The Gap Ward Office.
Ashgrove/The Gap Lions are helping with a sausage sizzle after the planting.
With 2500 plants to get into the ground, we need a lot of extra community support, so please bring along your community group and friends.
Please wear a hat and sensible shoes and bring a water bottle. Gloves and tools will be provided.
