Ideas for SOWN’s 25 year celebration?
Save Our waterways Now (SOWN) was established in March 1994 and so will turn 25 next year. We think this is something worth celebrating!
The Committee wants to hear your ideas on how the event and SOWN’s achievements could be celebrated through 2019. Some of the ideas that have already been put forward include:
* Signs on prominent revegetation sites to recognise those involved.
* A ‘Festival of the Creek’ in March.
* Tours of revegetation sites.
* A history section/booklet on the website.

Updating the SOWN logo
The current SOWN platypus logo – see upper right – is well known and has served us well. While SOWN supplies plants to members all over Brisbane and SEQ, the focus of our bushcare work is the Enoggera Catchment (Enoggera, Ithaca and Fish Creeks).
The committee is considering modifying the SOWN logo slightly to reflect this by adding the words ‘Enoggera Catchment Care’ at the bottom – see proposed new logo to the right.
