‘This Week by the Creek’ November e-News
Improving aquatic connectivity in our creeks and rivers is increasingly being recognised as a crucial component in waterway restoration.
In SEQ there has been significant investment in recent years to restore connectivity by the installation of fishways. These allow fish and other aquatic animals to pass through barriers, such as weirs, on creeks and rivers.
Healthy Land and Water SEQ has organised a fish passage tour visiting several different
fishways constructed over the past two years.
SOWN members, with a particular interest in fish in our creeks and rivers, are invited to attend.
Time: Wednesday 15 November, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
