Shrub 1–4 m high, stems rusty, pubescent with spreading simple hairs, often along streams, widespread in sclerophyll forest. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic, to 10 cm long, upper surface hairless and dull dark green; lower surface rusty-hairy. Flowers whitish or sometimes yellow, in sparse terminal panicles.
