Phyllanthus sp. (EUPHORBIACEAE) Spurge

Prostrate to erect herb 15 cm high, numerous erect to decumbent slender branches. Taproot 3 mm diameter, 6 cm long, with side roots. Phyllanthus sp. are listed as rare of threatened plants in South-East Queensland. Phyllanthus was first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753. There are estimated to be 750-1200 species worldwide.
