Pender Street

Enoggera Creek

Group convenor: Janet Mangan

Following the flooding of Enoggera Creek in 2022, there was extensive damage to the section of creek along Pender Street, The Gap. Healthy Land and Water organised the planting of hundreds of local native plants and installation of bank stabilisation measures in conjunction with Brisbane City Council, contractors from Oxley Creek Catchment Association, Wirrinyah First Nations Conservation Services and SOWN.

Since then it has become apparent that the site needs regular working bees to maintain it. With the establishment of the Pender Street bushcare group in 2025, volunteers will continue the previous restoration efforts. If you’d like to get involved and help maintain this beautiful creekside habitat, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a SOWN bushcare group. For more information about the group and upcoming working bees, please contact Janet Mangan at  janetmangan9@gmail.com.
