Macro-Invertebrate Sampling

This activity aims to introduce students to the methods involved with macro-invertebrate sampling, observation, counting and identification. It also demonstrates the important role that macro-invertebrates play in freshwater ecosystems and their value in assessing creek health. Macro-invertebrate sampling provides students with a snapshot of the life-cycles of animals living in their local waterway.
