Come along to these great events

We’ve been polishing the wine glasses and tasting the vino to ensure a primo experience for the Vine and Cheese night at 7.30pm on Wednesday 25 May. Our presenter Sandy Pollock has been trawling the archives to reveal the fascinating story of “The Lost Vineforests of Brisbane”. We even cleaned the SOWN Environment Centre! This is a FREE event – not to be missed.

Got nothing on tomorrow afternoon? Ithaca Intact is running a working bee for a SOWN member who needs help managing their creek frontage. All hands on creek!

Also coming up at 9am on Saturday 28 May is the second Fish Creek community planting. There will be trees to plant, cups of tea and free copies of “The creek in our backyard”. The author Rob Whyte will be on hand to advise locals on how to look after their little bit of creek.

And book now for the BRAIN Rainforest Masterclass at 9am on Saturday 4 June. We’ve got terrific speakers and local experts leading a rainforest walk that will reveal the flora, fauna and fungi of Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve.
