SOWN will be holding our annual Clean Up Australia Day event on Sunday 1 March at the Ashgrove Sports Ground and you are invited to join us. We will start at 8 am and finish up before 10 am with an egg and bacon sizzle.
Ashgrove Sports Ground is well known for rugby and bowls, but is also an important natural habitat and lovely area of parkland with a big, shady loop of Enoggera Creek. Come along and get to know the plants and animals in this part of the creek and help us with some rubbish collection and weeding.
Please come along Yoku Road and turn into the Ashgrove Sports Ground and park beside or behind the Ashgrove Bowls Club. Look out for the SOWN marque and banner near the footbridge over the creek.
Please wear outdoor clothes, shoes and a hat and bring a water bottle and gloves. We will have bags and gloves available.
