Lugg Street Habitat Group Working Bee

The Lugg Street Habitat Group has been revitalised by Murray Oke. It’s first working bee will be held on Saturday 7 April.

Time: 8.00 am to 10.00 am.

Place: Dean Street, Red Hill. Volunteers to meet by the car park at the end of Dean St.

There are a number of events coming up this weekend and next weekend and you and your family are invited.

Community Planting and Bug Kidz at Glenella Park

Glenella Park Bushcare Group are having a community planting and insect-themed kid’s presentations by Bug Kidz and local spider expert, Rob Whyte.

Time: 10.00 am – 12.00 noon, Saturday 7 April 2018
Place: Glenella Park, 77 Glenella Street, The Gap

SOWN Member’s Meeting Talk – Dr Andrew Galbraith

Andrew checks the health of the environment

Our first member’s meeting talk for 2018 is coming up. The title of the talk is – ‘Join SOWN and live forever – the health benefits of working in our nursery’.

Time: 10 am – 12 noon, Sunday 15 April.
Place: SOWN Nursery, 57 Paten Road, The Gap.

Dr Andrew Galbraith is a retired cardiologist and keen SOWN member. He has an interest in public health and will present a review of how our bush revegetation and nursery work can improve your health and that of our society.

Morning tea will be available before the talk. Please bring a small plate.
