The welcome donation of 100 copies of the book comes from Queensland Rail through Glenn Withers (former Ithaca Intact Coordinator) who now works in weed management for QR.
Copies may be collected from the SOWN Nursery at 57 Paten Road The Gap. Nursery opening hours are Saturdays 9.00am – 11.00am and Wednesdays 9.00am – 12.30pm.
The book is intended for landholders, weed control practitioners and community groups. It contains photos and descriptions of invasive (non-crop) species divided into six groups:
- woody weeds
- cacti & succulents
- groundcover & herbs
- grasses and aquatics.
Each section is listed in alphabetical order by common name. There is also a section on herbicide options and rates.
Copies of the book are limited.
