Thanks to those who helped at our successful SOWN+ANZ Corporate Volunteer Day last Thursday (see photos) when we cleared huge piles of weeds and planted about 100 creek -stabilisng MatRush (Lomandra hystrix), several Koala food trees (Qld Blue Gum & Tallowwood), plus Bottlebrush, Sandpaper Fig, Cheese Tree and Bolwarra.
And of course thanks to Gus and the enthusiastic ANZ crew!
We now need to do some more planting in the areas cleared last Thursday.
Our next working bee will be on Saturday 5th September 8-10am
We will meet at the new sandstone seats at the bend in Barnett Road … and we can ‘initiate’ the site by having morning tea and nibbles there also. Suggestions for naming it will be a topic for discussion.
Please bring gloves, hat, water to drink and sunscreen – long sleeved shirt and long pants, and closed boots/shoes preferred. Children welcome !
There are ticks around, so please take precautions (tuck long pants into socks, spray clothes and exposed skin with repellant etc)
