Hi Creek carers & Habitat huggers
Something a bit different for October !
We will meet on Monday 5th October 5th (a public holiday) in the afternoon 3 – 5pm to tackle a weed-infested part of the creek bank on Bardon Esplanade, immediately downstream of the footbridge (between David Ave & Lilley Rd)
For this working bee, we are joining with the Bowman Park Frog Habitat Group (coordinated by Alaia Bereziat). The weeds we are targeting are a threat to downstream sections of Ithaca Creek. Our work on Monday 5th October will prepare the area for a community planting event to be planned for late October/early November.
Afternoon tea will again be provided.
Please bring gloves, hat, water to drink and sunscreen – long sleeved shirt and long pants, and closed boots/shoes preferred. If you have insect repellent, please bring that also … although we’ll also have some available on-site. There may be ticks.
Hope to see you there
