SOWN CUA Event – Nicholas Park, The Gap
SOWN is holding a Clean Up Australia Day event at Nicholas Park, The Gap. SOWN members and supporters and the general community are invited to come along and help clean up rubbish and weeds along Enoggera Creek.
Time: Sunday 4 March from 8.00 am to 10.00 am.
Place: Nicholas Park, Dandaloo Street, The Gap. Look for a marquee and SOWN sign.
We will be providing a barbeque brunch afterwards.
Nicholas Park is behind The Gap SHS and across the creek. It has good parking and access to both sides of a long length of creek for collecting rubbish.
Please wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them.
Just downstream of the eastern end of the park is an infestation of cat’s claw vine. Experienced bushcarers who want to cut down vines can work there.
Ashgrove Avenue Bushcare Group CUA Event – Quandong Park, Ashgrove
The March working bee which will be a Clean Up Australia Day event,
Sunday 4th March from 8.00 -10.00 am at Quandong Park, Quandong Street, Ashgrove.
We are expecting 50-80 boys and parents from BBGS and need experienced bushcarers to supervise weeding and spreading mulch.
