Brian Hallinan had the vision, the position and the foresight to imagine SOWN ” in and around 1993″. At the time he was the Councillor for The Gap, and his work with Council provided plenty of experience: he had been Chairman of Works and Chairman of Water Supply and Sewerage, so he knew about Council policy, process and people.
Behind this practical exterior there lurks a colourful life story. Brian has a sense of humour and a love of nature; he cares about the environment of The Gap, and he has an on-going commitment to the organisation that he imagined and made possible.
