BRAIN /SOWN planting & book talk Banks St Reserve 13 May

On Sunday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. we are going to put 150 plants in the ground* at Banks Street Reserve, Newmarket. Entry is by the top gate in Weatherhead Avenue. Follow the track to the oval on the creek bank on the right.

After that, we will have afternoon tea and best and biggest of all, at 3 p.m. Dr. Bill McDonald will talk about his (and Gwen Harden & John Williams) newish book, Rainforest trees and shrubs : a field guide to their identification. See for more book information. Bill will also bring a draft of his latest vines book, so bring your curliest problem plants for identification and field testing. We will have copies of the book for purchase and signing. A botanical wander or two might well happen.

This will be the first joint BRAIN/SOWN event since our recent merger, so all members of both groups are more than welcome, as are any other tree-planting folks who may wish to attend.
