Always a great place to learn, this latest session on 5 April was no exception with the them on ‘Journey into our Indigenous Past and Present’.
There was a great line up of speakers – Madonna Thomson, Dr Ray Kerkhove and Dr Rod Fensham.
It was a journey through important Indigenous plants, bushfoods and Aboriginal campsites in and around Brisbane.
Participants also got an insight into the key species of eucalypts around Brisbane.
Following this the seminar, Bushtechniq hosted a gum nut bushwalk with Rod Fensham in the Chermside Hills Reserve on 16 April.
This was an opportunity to put into practice our eucalyptus identification skills with his latest field guide publication.
You never know where and what great learning experience the ‘Brisbane Biodiversity Seminars’ will lead you. Look out for the next one!
