Platypus Watch on the Enoggera Creek

Wildlife Queensland is again conducting Platypus Watch, a program aimed at monitoring and managing platypus populations within South East Queensland.

The program is based upon a workshop followed by surveys conducted by community volunteers. This August and September the surveys will be conducted along Enoggera Creek, and we would love to have you involved!

Workshops will be held on Tuesday 20th August, 6:30pm-7:30pm and Saturday 24th August, 10am-11am at the SOWN centre, Yoorala Street, The Gap.

Surveys will then be held along Enoggera Creek from either dawn or dusk for approximately two hours on the following days:

Survey dates:

Saturday 31 August (dawn)
Sunday 1 September (dusk)
Saturday 7 September (dawn) *school holidays
Sunday 8 September (dusk) *school holidays
Places are limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible to register indicating:

1) Your workshop preference
2) Your first two preferences for monitoring dates

We will then send you a confirmation email and further details of the program.

Habitat Brisbane Restoration Celebration Breakfast

The time to down tools and come along for a mighty breakfast feast is soon upon us! Please join us as we celebrate all things Habitat Brisbane and the wonderful work of all our volunteers.
