Synopsis – The critters of the rainforest and their management
Adrian will be giving us a detailed discussion on some of the more cryptic and unique critters of the Rainforest and a look at their habitat.
The session will include a PowerPoint presentation on rainforest fauna and their management. From barred frogs to fruit pigeons birds to quolls. Adrian will give us an insight into the life and times of those species who have adapted to life within the wetter forests.
A self confessed despiser of scrub itch, ticks, mould and mossies Adrian will take us through a full range of the challenges of managing fauna and fauna habitats within rainforest.
Bio
Adrian Caneris is the Principal Wildlife Expert and Managing Director of BAAM Pty Ltd. Adrian is a Certified Environmental Practitioner (EIANZ) with expertise in vertebrate fauna assessment and identification, assessment of terrestrial habitats, ecological monitoring, wildlife management, biodiversity planning, feral species management and community liaison and facilitation.
He has been involved in research, management, consulting, tertiary teaching and community based studies of terrestrial ecology, particularly vertebrate fauna, throughout South-East Queensland for over 20 years.
