About 50 SOWN members and friends gathered at the SOWN Nursery on Saturday 3 December for the annual general meeting and end-of-year celebration.

Outgoing president Renee McGlashan presented a 40-page report SOWN A Year in Review 2022. Read the highlights of 2022 here or download a PDF of the whole report which includes lots of great photos.

She thanked members of the communications team for implementing a program of school visits, social media engagement and regular eNews publications for members.

Renée also acknowledged the work of bushcare coordinator Janet Mangan saying there had been a lot of progress with bushcare efforts.

Incoming president Leo Lee thanked Renée and previous president John Abbott saying they were a great guide on how to do the job of president.

He also thanked the management committee members who had nominated for re-election.

“It’s a great active committee that makes a good contribution to the running of SOWN,” Leo said.

Leo outlined ideas for future projects including improving computerisation for the SOWN Nursery and encouraging greater biodiversity in the Enoggera Creek catchment.
