Members of the Brisbane Catchments Network (BCN) came out west to the Enoggera Catchment for their Christmas Party and to lend a helping hand in the cleanup after the Gap's recent storms and floods. BCN includes Creek Rangers and Bushcare/ Landcare group leaders from all across Brisbane. Despite the stifling heat and humidity BCN members got stuck into the cleanup and liberated the creek once more so that locals could use it and enjoy our natural environment. Piles of debris, fallen and uprooted trees were moved to clear the paths around the Rita Huggins memorial at Walton Bridge. Wonderful work! SOWN appreciates your help and wishes all catchments a merry and restorative Christmas. Scroll down to view pictures from the event.
